Spring Haul Part 1

It's finally spring! Even though mother nature is obviously ignoring this fact, I decided to pick up some things for my spring wardrobe. And part 2 will be coming up next week!

Sneakers: Payless
I love these bright coral sneakers! They were on sale and I was looking for some cute sneakers for work so finding these was perfect. I also love that they have a subtle texture.

 Sneakers: Aeropostale
To go along with the adorable sneaker theme, I picked these ones up from Aeropostale! They were less than 20 bucks, which is such a steal! I love leopard print because it's so versatile. These sneakers will go with so many outfits and will definitely get some love.

Pants: Old Navy
I love the print on these! It's so bright and perfect for springtime. I think these would look so cute with a loose white v-neck tee or a jean button down top. I wore them with a black peplum top yesterday and it was so cute. Even though these have a really bold print, they can still go with quite a few tops.

Tee: Aeropostale
Aeropostale has a Pretty Little Liars line and this top was in the original line from a couple months ago so it was on sale! It's super comfy and I'll have to wear it when I have a PLL marathon for the new season.

Dress: Old Navy
I'm not usually a yellow person, but for some reason this dress really spoke to me! I'm doing another internship this summer so I am trying to get some professional looking dresses. What's great about this dress is that it's a bold color, but the actual design of the dress is pretty simple so the ways to accessorize are endless! I'm planning on wearing this with a cute statement necklace.

I also love that the middle of the dress has this textured panel down the middle. It adds a little design but is still a classic dress.
Look out for a spring lookbook in the near future!

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie!

Today I am sharing with you my favorite post workout snack- my peanut butter banana smoothie! I love it because it's filling without making me feel weighed down after my workout. It's also really hydrating and super easy to make! The blender I use is less than 20 bucks and is perfect for single servings. It's the Hamilton Single Serve Blender With Travel Lid if you're interested.

 Ingredients:
5-6 Ice cubes depending on the size
 1/2 Cup of milk
(I'm lactose intolerant so I use lactose free milk but you can use any milk you like)
You can also substitute part of the milk for greek yogurt for more protein, I'm just not a big fan of the plain greek yogurt taste
1 Banana - the more ripe the better
About a half of spoonful of peanut butter- adjust to preference

I usually put 3 ice cubes to start with then blend with all the ingredients. After the first blend I add the rest of the ice cubes since my blender gets overfilled with too many ice cubes at once.

And that's it! Enjoy!

Outfit of the Day: Aeropostale Cardigan

Hey guys! Long time no see! I've been absent from posting for the last couple weeks because of a crazy amount of school work and I finally got to see my boyfriend! We were a part for 7 weeks, but he finally got to come home for spring break so we had a lovely week together. Anyways, I have been wearing this outfit I am featuring in this post a lot lately. Some days I have to go from classes to my internship so I need an outfit that is professional but I don't want to be overdressed for my morning classes. This outfit has been perfect for those busy days.

Cardigan: Aeropostale, Button Down Top: H&M, Pants: American Eagle, Boots: Payless, Necklace: Gifted

As I mentioned in my February favorites post, I love this cardigan! I have it in pink and gray. It's simply the perfect combination of being warm and cute. This H&M button down is something I have had in my wardrobe for years and it's so versatile. I can dress it up for my internship or dress it down for casual days. As always, I love my American Eagle jeans. Some of you may be like what? She's wearing jeans to her internship? These jeans are straight black and do not have the typical denim material, so they can work for my internship. Plus, they are high waisted which makes it perfect for tucking in button downs.

And, I love my Payless boots, even though the salt has taken a beating on them.

And I just wanted to add in a picture of my nails! This is Sinful Colors' polish in Soul Mate. The picture came out a bit light, but it's a dusty rose color.

February Favorites

Another month has come and gone, which means another monthly favorites post!
I tried the St. Ives Green Tea Scrub originally since I needed to get a travel sized product. After I used it on a trip I found out that I loved it, but unfortunately I could not find the full sized product anywhere! So in January I finally found it in a Pennsylvania Target and I've been using it since! This scrub is so gentle with small exfoliants and smells amazing! If you have sensitive and frequently red skin, I'd suggest giving this face scrub a try!
I've also been loving my Vermont Honey Apple Golden Sugar Scrub which has gotten rid of my dry winter skin. I love how it leaves my skin super moisturized also, I don't even need to apply lotion after! Lush's Ro's Argan Body Conditioner has also been amazing for my dry skin. I put this on my skin right before I get out of the shower and lightly rinse it off, and it leaves my skin hydrated and smelling like sweet roses! No lotion needed!

The Sonia Kashuk Bent Eyeliner brush has made putting on eyeliner so easy! I use this for both gel eyeliner and using eyeshadows as liner.

Dress: TJ Maxx

I've been wearing long sleeve dresses and fleece lined leggings all month and they are just perfect for my internship. This dress has been my favorite!

PJ Bottoms: Old Navy, Red Socks: TJ Maxx, Polka Dot Socks: Old Navy, Snowman and Snowflake Socks: Bath and Body Works

Comfy pajamas and fuzzy socks have been keeping me warm through these cold winter nights! I love these bright red flannel pj pants and I can just never get enough cute socks.

Floral Scarf: American Eagle, Bow Scarf: Aerie, White Scarf: Forever 21, Leopard Print Scarf: Aeropostale

Scarves are my favorite accessory. They instantly make an outfit look trendy and of course keep you warm through freezing winter days!

This Aeropostale cardigan is the perfect sweater. It's bright and cute when everyone seems to be wearing black, and it is extremely thick and warm! Plus, it's so versatile. I can wear it buttoned up with leggings, a tee, and a scarf or it can be unbuttoned and paired with jeans and a floral shirt. I also have it in gray, which will be featured in an outfit of the day soon!

I have totally fallen in love with the Under the Never Sky series! I just started the third book and I am extremely excited. If you want to know my thoughts about the first book, check out my previous post here!

In honors of Valentine's Day, I started out the month with a romance new adult novel. I ended up enjoying this book way more than I thought and I am excited to know that there in a spinoff book! Wait for You focuses on Avery, a college freshman who is trying to escape her past by getting a fresh start far from home. What she doesn't expect is to capture the attention of the over confident and attractive Cameron. As she struggles with this new found interaction, she also finds her past is catching up to her and she can't seem to leave behind what happened at a halloween party five years. This novel explores difficult experiences, how come to terms, personal growth, and first love. Definitely check it out if you love romance or new adult books!
